Character Breakdown

• Pippin (M, 30+): The story's protagonist. Young, confused, and searching for fulfillment. Vocal: G2–Ab4. Dance required.

• Leading Player (F, 35+): Strong and powerful; she guides Pippin in his pursuits while commanding her minions. Vocal: Db3–Ab4. Dance required.

• Charlemagne (M, 50+): Pippin's father and King of the Holy Roman Empire. Foreboding and distracted by his reign. Vocal: G2–E4. No dance.

• Fastrada (F, 30+): Pippin's beautiful, cunning, and manipulative stepmother. Vocal: A3–F5. Dance required.

• Lewis (M, 30+): Pippin's half-brother who loves weightlifting, war, and himself. Strong comedic timing. Some vocal; no dance.

• Berthe (F, 55+): Pippin's feisty grandmother who reminds him to live in the moment. Vocal: E3–C5. No dance.

• Catherine (F, 30): A widow and Pippin's love interest. Vocal: F#3–Db5. No dance.

• Theo (M, 8–12): Catherine's son. Some vocal; no dance.

• Players (M/F, 17+): The Leading Player's minions. Dance required.

• Ensemble (M/F, 15+): Strong vocalists. No dance required.
